Behemoth vocalist and guitarist Adam “Nergal” Darski has expressed his love for classic rock and metal bands, stating that he always attends their concerts whenever they are in town. In a recent interview with Jaimunji, Nergal admitted that he is a huge fan of bands like Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Metallica, and Iron Maiden.
“I always go and check out Guns N’ Roses when they’re in town, and I do the same for other legacy bands like AC/DC and Metallica. I’m a fan of their music and I collect their records. I think everyone should go see these bands live, because time is flying and soon they won’t be around anymore.
“You don’t want to regret not seeing them perform, so buy tickets and go to their shows. I do this whenever I can, because I know that this era is coming to an end.” 
Nergal also discussed the future of rock and metal headliners, stating that the pool of big arena rock-star bands is shrinking. However, he also mentioned that he’s not very familiar with newer bands, which is interesting given his comments on the shrinking pool of headliners.
“It’s going to be a few more years before the current headliners retire, but after that, there will be fewer big arena rock-star bands. I mean, I know Parkway Drive is probably an arena band now, but I don’t really know much about them.
“I don’t know what Parkway Drive or Avenged Sevenfold is, and I’ve never heard of Sleep Token. It’s just not my thing. I’m sure they’re good bands, but they don’t resonate with me. Once the current headliners are gone, I’ll be left without anyone to see live, and that’s a sad thought.”
